Bali bombers seek execution by beheading

Would the lawyers prefer gradual beheading with a rusty kitchen knife as the Islamic terrorists used on their highly publicised exection of victims?

I think it is completely absurd that people who destroyed over 200 lives by way of explosion are even given a voice of opinion in their own method of death. Especially since gunfire(seemingly) is less traumatic than being ripped apart by an explosion, or burned to death.

The rights given by a government are by social CONTRACT. If a contract is broken, in this case by acting as horribly destructive individuals, they forfeit their rights by way of the broken agreement.

Okay, they want to die, let them die. If they wish to disgrace a religion by murdering in the name of religion, go ahead and kill them their own way. On suggestion; before they die, duct tape a pork loin to their hands to ensure they go to Hell, or whatever they call it.

Isn't it odd how these people are now trying anything they can to delay their executions? At their trial they were acting like heroes, defiant and seemingly proud of their crime. But now they don't seem to be in any rush to go to their heaven to be greeted by the 64 virgins (or however many are supposed to await them).

Setting bombs is a cowardly act.

Next they will be appealing on the grounds that "My doctor said I'm not allowed to let bullets enter my body at any time."

Well let's see here, they murdered 202 people in a bombing incident. It seems only appropriate to me to dispatch of each of these murderers in similar fashion. Therefore, I propose that each be required to don a jock strap filled with C4 and a detonator. A long slow countdown from say 1,000 should add a degree of anticipation to the final event. Certainly they should be disposed of individually and given the opportunity to draw numbers to see the order in wich they will GOOOOO and then be given a ring side seat to enjoy the program until their number is called.

As a thirty year man in the US Military, I have lived all over the world and the one constant is that every country has it's own set of laws and punishment. So if you don't want to be shot for your crimes don't do it in Bali. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: To all you terrorists in training, If you want to die in a particular manner when you are sentenced to death, check with that country before committing your terrorist act.

Perhaps they should be executed via explosive devices? Surely the weapon used to murder others would be equally sufficient for one's own execution?

Personally, I think executing them would just fulfill their indoctrinated martyr death-wish. A more appropriate sentence would be a lifetime of forced labor at homeless shelters and chow halls while wearing a sign that reads: "I murdered innocents and am a disgrace to Islam."

They must be made an example of, not by killing them- because a person with nothing to lose can be easily persuaded to die for a grand cause, but by stripping their actions of honor and showcasing their pathetic lives to world wide condemnation.

WOW: Reading all the posts on this topic, there certainly are some very vehment opinions. Frankly I agree with most and think shooting or beheading is far to easy. Make them suffer indescribable pain before either shooting or beheading them. Let the punishment fit the crime. Let them feel the unbearable pain of dying, and be fully conscious of it as they are dying, the more protracted the better.

I was at 2 of the clubs bombed by these people luckily about 2 weeks before they got there. The cultures we are dealing with are ancient cultures and do not respect human life or values as we do today. They do however understand insults too their religeon and believe in the ramifications of how they die.
Make an example of these guys. It was done in the Phillpines about 100 years ago and work wonders.
Dig a pit, throw the convicted into the pit and shoot them. Douse their bodies with Pig Blood and leave them as an example for others to see.
I realize that for whatever reason we all have to be politically correct these days, but when dealing with monsters and savages that would bomb women and children, we need to step back and treat them equally as harsh if for no other reason then to level the playing field.

I've read a lot of the replies here, and agree with most of them. I've been in the Navy for 23 yrs and I was actually at 2 of the clubs in Bali that got bombed 2 weeks before it happened.
The convicted dont want to be shot, they want to be beheaded. Well I can tell you first hand that the people in those clubs didnt want to die that night. Some of you have already mentioned this, but we need to ignore all the political correctness BS that's infected our governments in the past 30 years and revert to the 1900's style of punishment.
Dig a pit, throw the convicts into the pit, shoot them but dont kill them, then turn 30 sow's loose in the pit.......the sow's will smell the blood and take care of the rest for us. The terrorists will never get into heaven and will never get their virgin rewards and their families will be disgraced for years too come..............as I understand it anyway.
Would make a great show for the crew to watch on Saturday while on patrol in the Gulf.
