Israeli soldier filmed shooting at Palestinian

Israel is nothing but a cruel purpetrator of war crimes and broken UN resolutions. They are the descendents of victims of the holocaust, yet are acting like the perpetrators of the holocaust, the Nazis.

why don't we just make Israel and Iraq the 51st and 52nd state? We send most of our treasury to these countries anyway. Israel has more vacation days and great health care cheap and we americans foot the bill and we get jack.

When an Israeli does something wrong, he's an exception to the rule, a miscreant. When a Palestinian does something wrong, a whole neigborhood gets bulldozed.

This is newsworthy in your opinion? It's got to be your sad idea of a joke, I think. Oh, puhleeze, this is the physical equivalent of a gout attack. (That feels like having a bowling ball drop on your big toe: pretty painful, but only temporary.)

It's backpage news, however, when Israelis are blown up by bombs and rockets, and otherwise murdered by terrorists. This must be because the Arabs are EXPECTED to kill all the Israeli Jews they can find, and that's not news anymore. But if an Arab terrorist gets a boo-boo on his foot, then everybody accuses Israel of every horrible brutality! As I recall, death and maiming are pretty serious and permanent, right? Is this poor Arab protester and terrorist-wannabe dead or permanently damaged? I don't think so.

Can you journalists and commenters sit back and take a longer, historical view? To search for some sorts of equivalencies? It's been the habit of the Arabs to twist history and facts; and where there are gaps, they make up fantasies to fill them. If any of this is a suprise, then I've got this great bridge I can sell to you really cheap! Helluva deal!

The only appropriate response to this article is outrage. Not at the Israeli soldier, but at you journalists and your fellow whiners.

I have to whole heartedly agree with MagicMarkR. The people making the initial 3 comments make me as sick as the journalists who write their slanted obnoxious stories so that it makes them look good. But as there is a GOD above He will have the last word and none of you will be sitting anywhere pretty surely not within His pearly gates. The Israeli-Arabs have been given jobs in a country that they hate; how come? Why work for people that you hate when you can get a job surely in Jordan, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Lebanon all of whom don't want you there and oust you. For all of you that think that journalists are honest they also teach in journalist schools how to doctor films and this film was edited but then again you are embittered people that would never turn your cheek for anyone.

Israel has no right to exist. It exists only because of terrorism on the parts of its founders. Of course Arabs want it gone. It stole Palestinian lands from the beginning and continues to do so. It needs "Lebensraum," as the Nazis said.

I agree with the last two posters that the opinions of the preceding posters and the article are terribly skewed.

Despite this, the behavior of the soldiers in shooting at someone who is blindfolded is utterly reprehensible.

This behavior DOES NOT represent the Jewish religious belief system nor even the general behavior of the Israel military, and, these soldiers should be punished for the crime they committed.

Video is fake, you can see at 0:18 and 0:19 in the video that the IDF soldier has already fired his gun but there is no reaction of the prisoner.

Just pause it at 0:18, you will see the gun being fired and the Palestinian just standing there. The bullet have reached the Palestinian almost instantly after it was fired. Then the quick camera shake to make sure nobody saw what happened.

Also, a few more things.

The reporter in the video says the Palestinian was "fired upon at close range", but never actually says the Palestinian was shot.

AND

Look at the guy in the white t-shirt on the right of the screen. He has the same reaction to the firing gun as the prisoner. It sort of knocks him back, but he was never shot!!! Never shot just like the prisoner was never shot.

what's tiresome is the Mass Media's myopia when is comes to an abnormal situation like this,
versus the continual bloody trail of islam from mohammed on.
they never seem to show how the arabs of dearborn cheered and partied in the streets when
the trade center was blown up, but scream bloody murder at things like this.
While I don't care for McCain, the media has made continual age slurs against him, but played
romantic with B Hussain O... so perhaps if we just disregarded them, they'd finally disappear
just like the constant smoke they blow...
